JOB SUMMARY

The Hospice Community Liaison is responsible for establishing and maintaining positive relationships with customers and referral sources, responding to customer requests and concerns, and negotiating service contracts with managed care organizations, government agencies, and other payers.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain relationships with physicians, discharge planners, case managers, social workers, and other health care professionals who utilize home care services.
  • Schedule and conduct visits to referral sources to assist in identifying those patients who may be appropriate for home health services thereby increasing the number of clients served by the agency/market.
  • Maintain current knowledge of agency/market trends, coverage criteria, and industry changes to ensure compliance with required regulations.
  • Represent the agency at health fairs, mall shows, other community service functions, and participate in civic and/or community committees.
  • Conduct market assessments and develop a comprehensive marketing plan designed to meet budgetary volume projections.
  • Employ marketing and promotional initiatives to achieve budgetary volume projections.
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with current and potential referral and payer sources.
  • Build and monitor community, customer, and payer and patient perceptions of Buena Vista as a high-quality provider of services.
  • Provide leadership in strategic planning including identifying opportunities for additional or improved services to address customer needs.
  • Maintain comprehensive working knowledge of Buena Vista markets including government agencies, major payer groups, key referral sources, and competitor’s market positioning.
  • Maintain comprehensive working knowledge of community resources and assists customers in accessing community resources should services not be provided by Buena Vista.
  • Monitor and report cost effectiveness of marketing efforts.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • 3 years of experience in hospice marketing management
  • Ability to market aggressively and deal tactfully with customers and the community.
  • Knowledge of corporate business management.
  • Demonstrates good communications skills, negotiation skills, and public relations skills.
  • Demonstrates autonomy, organization, assertiveness, flexibility and cooperation in performing job responsibilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
