Job Title: RDO
Reports To: Chief Operating Officer (COO) or Franchise Owner
Supervises: District Managers (DM)
General Purpose of Position
The RDO is responsible for overseeing multiple salon districts and managing the DMs. Responsibilities include holding DMs responsible for: managing sales and operations, driving revenue, controlling expenses and approving payroll budgets, handling personnel issues, accounting, merchandising, and loss prevention.
RDOs must monitor and ensure their DMs are requiring the highest level of client service from the salons. The RDO is a role model and leader for DMs and salon employees and must solve problems, make informed decisions and manage multiple districts in order to achieve maximum results.

Uphold the Sun Tan City experience in his/her districts to promote the upscale image and success the Sun Tan City name has earned.
Coaching your DMs to provide results in every aspect of revenue, productivity, and client service.
Creating clear plans for traffic trends, competitive analysis, bench planning for staffing needs, and budget control, for the districts.
Ensure quality District Managers are hired and trained properly. Ensure that your District Managers are hiring and training quality Salon Directors.
Oversee compliance of District Managers with established STC policies and standards, such as safekeeping of company funds and property, personnel practices, security, sales and record-keeping procedures, and overall maintenance of the salons by performing required audits.
Ensure strong expense control monitoring with emphasis on inventory, labor and supply expense.
Maintain a professional, even-tempered mentality to lead his/her region in situations that require strategic thought and problem solving tactics. RDOs should never wear their emotions on their sleeve and never make emotional decisions. Frequently praise good results publicly and address poor results privately.

Ensure that buy-in and enforcement of company policy and procedure is enacted by all levels of management.
