Buffalo County, WI is Hiring a Buffalo County Highway Commissioner Near Alma, WI

Buffalo County is hiring for a full-time Highway Commissioner to work out of our Highway Shop located in Alma, WI.

Purpose of Position:

The purpose of this position is to administer, plan, direct, educate, supervise, and implement the activities of the Buffalo County Highway Department and to represent and protect the transportation interests of Buffalo County while informing and working with the Buffalo County Highway Committee and Buffalo County Board of Supervisors.

Minimum Training, Experience, and Qualifications Required to Perform Essential Job Functions:

A bachelor’s degree in job-related fields such as Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Vocational/technical diploma and supervisory experience preferred.
A valid driver’s license with the ability to operate a vehicle in the state of Wisconsin is required. A Class B Commercial Driver’s License or the ability to obtain within six (6) months.

Compensation:

This is a salaried exempt position with a minimum starting annual salary of $102,315.20.

Work Hours:

This position will work core hours of 6:00AM to 4:00PM Monday through Thursday. Will require extended hours as needed due to projects or needs of the highway department.
