Job DescriptionWe are seeking an Associate Litigation Attorney. You will represent clients in legal proceedings, draw up legal documents and advise clients on legal transactions. Please email your resume to: jdemarco@buffingtonlawfirm.com for consideration.
Growing litigation firm has an immediate opening for an Associate Litigation Attorney. The Attorney will be responsible for drafting law and motion pleadings and arguing them in court, discovery preparation and analysis, and other courtroom and support work in the Firm's Orange County business litigation, real estate litigation, and trust litigation practice. This job involves considerable interaction with the Firm's clients. An undergraduate degree in business administration is a plus. Our office is located in Fountain Valley, CA and office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and working is the office is a requirement. There are no hybrid or remote working arrangements. Further, we are only considering candidates who are licensed California attorneys. This position is appropriate for someone with 0-2 years experience. We are a civil litigation firm -- no transactional work and no criminal law work involved.
Responsibilities:
  • Represent clients in court, attend depositions and mediations
  • Prepare and draft legal documents
  • Advise clients on business and legal transactions
  • Negotiate settlements for legal disputes
  • Comply with all legal standards and regulations
  • Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in law
  • Time management skills are a must
  • Familiarity with various legal documents
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to build rapport with clients
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
