Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated classroom aide/floater for our early childcare center. We are looking for someone who reflects a Christian attitude in work and daily life. We seek someone to work 4 hour shifts up to 20 hours a week from 8:15am to 12:15pm. This person is responsible for floating between the preschool and toddler classrooms to help care for children and maintaining a clean and tidy environment.
Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- The Aide of Building Blocks for Life will work with the teachers to create and maintain a safe, educational, loving, and emotionally healthy environment for both children and the staff
- uphold the mission, vision, and values of Building Blocks for Life
- Set up snacks, lunches, and activities
-wash and sanitize some dishes and toys
- assist with toileting and diapering procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized childcare setting
- Monitor children's behavior and communicate effectively with parents or guardians
- Ensure children's safety at all times
- Administer basic first aid when necessary
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children in a childcare setting is preferred
- willingness to complete Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification, orientation training, background check, and fingerprinting required
- Ability to multitask and prioritize activities effectively
- Strong communication skills to interact with children, parents, and colleagues
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Applicant should be 18 years old
Preferred:
-Previous experience working with children in a childcare setting is preferred
- Early Childhood Education certification is a plus

Pay: $16.00 per hour
