As a crucial member of our support ecosystem, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our IT infrastructure.
This is a full-time, permanent position working in-office in our Corporate Birmingham Branch Office location.
Responsibilities
- Incident Resolution : Address and resolve user-reported incidents efficiently through our help desk ticketing system.
- Technical Support : Provide expert technical assistance for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and IP phones.
- Hardware Configuration : Configure hardware for deployment to both new and existing users, ensuring optimal performance.
- Imaging Mastery : Utilize imaging software such as Ghost and Acronis Snap Deploy to image devices effectively.
- Network Troubleshooting : Investigate and troubleshoot network-related connectivity issues to maintain a robust and stable network environment.
- Documentation : Create comprehensive documentation for installations and procedures to enhance knowledge sharing within the team.
- Asset Management : Track and record assets managed by the department to ensure accurate inventory control.
- Collaboration : Work collaboratively with other IT team members to address and resolve severe technical issues.
- Project Assistance : Provide support for other IT-related projects as needed, showcasing your adaptability and versatility.
Qualifications
- Communication : Excellent communication skills, particularly when assisting non-technical users, demonstrating patience and clarity.
- Technical Proficiency : Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and operating systems to tackle diverse technical challenges.
- Networking Fundamentals : Fundamental understanding of networking concepts, including TCP / IP, DNS, Firewalls, and VPN.
