Bultum Academy opened in 2022. Since its opening, Bultum has grown to over 200 students in grade PreK-7, with a goal of expanding to 8th grade. Bultum Academy is a school where diversity thrives with multilingual students and families, creating a culturally rich environment. We are STEM-focused, fostering innovation and critical thinking. Our outside partnerships enrich learning experiences, while our dedicated staff ensures academic excellence. Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated elementary school teacher to join our team at Bultum Academy. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in elementary ELA, Math and Science, and Social studies education, experience working with diverse student populations, and a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Implement engaging and rigorous math and science curriculum aligned with Minnesota state standards and STEM principles.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners, including English Language Learners and students with varying academic abilities.
  • Utilize research-based instructional strategies and technology tools to enhance student learning and engagement.
  • Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, provide timely feedback, and adjust instruction accordingly.
  • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress, classroom activities, and school events.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in math, science, STEM education, and ELL instruction.
  • Contribute to a positive school culture by actively participating in school-wide events, committees, and initiatives.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in elementary education, mathematics, science, or a related field
  • Valid teaching certification/license in elementary education or relevant subject area, or willingness to obtain licensure.
  • Experience teaching elementary math and science, preferably in a diverse or ELL-enriched environment.
  • Knowledge of STEM education principles, inquiry-based learning, and project-based learning approaches.
  • Familiarity with instructional technology and digital resources to enhance teaching and learning experiences.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes equity, diversity, and cultural responsiveness.
