SummaryThe Opener & Closer Lead is a brand ambassador of all things Bundschu Co. and has a passion for wine knowledge, customer service, and our family heritage. The Opener & Closer Lead works closely with and provides support to the Tasting Room Manager(s) and is responsible for assisting day-to-day operational duties, in addition to working as a sales host or educator (hosting tastings, supporting in the tasting room with retail sales, etc.). Brand Ambassador, BCo leader & wine enthusiast, the Opener & Closer Lead leads by example and exhibits exemplary customer service aptitude in all interactions. Duties
Operational Lead
Provides assistance to Tasting Room Manager(s) for all BCo retail & hospo spaces. Cashes in and out registers, assigns “opening” and “closing” duties and provides support to hosts/educators as needed. Assists with keeping hospitality spaces clean, organized and well-stocked
Meets regularly with Tasting Room Manager(s) to communicate successes and challenges (as needed)
Host or Educator
Demonstrates supreme sales aptitude and wine knowledge
Takes accountability for the achievement of retail goals, including wine sales, wine club sign-ups and data collection. Supports with opening & closing duties as pertains to communicating these goals (i.e. posting daily sales & club goals for the team, recording achieved goals by all retail team members)
Has proficiency in wine education, viticulture and/or BCo history, and a passion for continued wine education

Work Adaptability
Shows versatility as Opener & Closer Lead, but provides exemplary customer service skills as an educator/brand ambassador as needed by Tasting Room Manager(s)
Exhibits a high level of coachability of learning operational day-to-day tasks, and leadership skills for monitoring retail staff
Actively works or is willing to work at all BCo retail locations (Abbot’s Passage & Gundlach Bundschu)
Customer Service Aptitude
Embodies the essence of good customer service in recognizing & anticipating customers’ needs, be it guests, colleagues, vendors, etc.
Demonstrates honest character, positive attitude and enthusiasm in all interactions
AMS / POS system proficiency
Exhibits proficiency of our POS system
Demonstrates a high level of problem solving & coachability
Qualifications
Must be at least 21 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent
At least 1 year’s experience in a leadership or equivalent role (required) and 1 year’s experience in the wine industry (preferred)
Required 4 days a week (includes weekends, holidays, etc.)
Proficiency or coachability in learning our POS system (AMS)
Professionalism in appearance/demeanor
Passion for wine education and being a part of our Gun Bun team
Physical RequirementsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:
Lift and carry up to 40 pounds
Stand on one’s feet for a full shift (6-8 hours)
Exhibit full range of motion while standing, lifting, bending, etc.
