Main Accountabilities
- Ability to read and understand ladder logic – troubleshoot and repair Programmable Logix Control (PLC) (Allen-Brady) systems, required
- Utilize the integrator to assign IP addresses to new equipment, electrical commissioning of new equipment
- Calibrate and/or troubleshoot process instrumentation, use handheld communication, required (TREX is a plus)
- Responsible for plant wide electrical troubleshooting and repair (electrical circuits of 480VAC or less)
- Troubleshoot and repair variable frequency drive (VFD) and AC/DC systems
- Ability to perform general electrician skills including but not limited to running conduit and sizing and pulling wires
- Ability to follow, interpret, and read blueprints and schematics
- Inspect for conformity to industry standards or specifications
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical components of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic industrial equipment
- Maintain electrical switchgear
- Ability to lay out and install conduit
- Working knowledge of thermography
Knowledge and Technical Competencies:
- PLC experienced required
- HVAC experience required
- Written/Verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to work in a highly quality controlled environment
- Ability to work in a safety conscious environment
- Ability to maintain a good working relationship with other facility personnel
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- Associates degree and/or technical certification preferred
- 5 years of industrial electrical experience preferred
- Overtime required as part of the normal schedule, call out availability, and an on-call rotation
