JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Sample Preparation Supervisor, the Sample Prep-Driver is responsible for receiving samples from onsite labs, including: driving to client site to pick-up the samples, organizing and sorting samples, returning samples to client site, and organizing and maintaining the storage of client samples while on site. Work conditions include: driving 3-5hrs daily, medium to heavy lifting (must be able to lift and carry 75 lbs for 10 feet), electrical, chemical and mechanical hazards, extreme weather conditions (-40 to 90 Fahrenheit), and repetitive time sensitive tasks.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Comply with the OHS Act and Regulations, BV Group Policy and Procedures, Upstream Minerals Management System Policies and Procedures and ISO standards applicable to the Warehouse Technician position.
* Comply with Alaska DOT, MSHA, and BV safe driving policies and procedures while driving to and driving on, onsite mine locations.
* Act in a safe and professional manner and wear appropriate attire including the required personal protective equipment (PPE).
* Carry out warehousing procedures in accordance with documented SOPs and other work instructions.
* Carry out sample preparation sorting and login in accordance with documented SOPs and other work instructions
* Maintain organization of warehouse and facility storage of supplies and client samples.
* Inspect the forklift and skid steer along with other warehousing tools prior to use and record inspections as required.
* Comply with all site safety rules and regulations while on a clients worksite.
Completing and maintaining paper and electronic records of maintained Equipment.
Practicing good housekeeping.
Maintaining a professional appearance when at mine locations.
* Communicate general maintenance issues to the Branch Manager as appropriate.
* Communicate general warehouse issues to the Branch Manager as appropriate.
* Communicate general Vehicle issues to the Branch Manager as Appropriate.
* Report any deviation(s) from documented procedures to the Branch Manager.
* Report any unsafe condition(s) observed in the department to the Branch Manager.
* Perform other duties as assigned by management.
EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
LICENSES:
Valid Drivers License and clean Driving Record
