Mattress Sales

Job Summary:

Burlington Mattress is looking for an individual with a strong sales background and a passion for helping people find a great night’s sleep to join our team. As a Mattress Sales Associate you will assist clients in finding the best mattress through an in-store experience. By asking appropriate questions to determine their needs, you will use your product knowledge and professional listening/selling techniques to achieve customer satisfaction and optimal sales. Our ideal candidate can function independently; but also thrives in a collaborative environment.

Compensation is hourly spiffs given for every mattress sold.

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Two plus years of sales or retail experience
• Proficient computer skills and the ability to learn new programs
• An entrepreneurial spirit with a service-oriented nature

Responsibilities:

• Present oneself in a professional and personable way such that a prospective customer will put their trust in you and have the confidence that you will be able to provide the solution they are looking for while demonstrating skill and knowledge of the product.
• Ability to think in terms of solutions to provide each customer with an exceptional and thoughtful experience and products that fit their needs
• Provide self motivation to sufficiently acquire product knowledge and selling process/technique to successfully represent products and the company.
• Demonstrate excellent organization and follow up skills
• Ability to problem solve, multitask, and manage multiple projects/customers simultaneously
• Utilize technology provided to streamline customer experience
• Contribute to the visual merchandising and overall esthetic of the store
• Maintain a professional attitude and communication style even when stressful situations might arise.
• Actively contribute to the growth and culture of Burlington Mattress in a positive way
• Work in conjunction with our sister store Burlington Furniture

• Flexibility to work a retail schedule

• Some travel may be possible
• Valid Driver’s license required
• Ability to provide your own transportation

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week
