• Assist in the delivery of artificial and daylighting design solutions.
• Provide a suitable level of technical lighting, daylighting design, and creative lighting design to projects.
• Prepare concept and preliminary engineering solutions for detail design.
• Work with clients and architects on the production of design materials, including concept design documents, design notes, report writing, AutoCAD drawings and details, and technical luminaire specifications.
• Provide professional lighting layouts, sections, and details using AutoCAD and similar applications to allow a clear understanding of the concept principles.
• Assess cost saving methods.
• Confer with technical personnel to prepare designs and operational plans.
• Analyze project data to determine specifications and requirements.
• Communicate technical information to suppliers, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
• Communicate with management and user personnel to develop production and design standards.
• Discuss designs and plans with clients.
• Document technical design details.
• Evaluate designs and specifications to ensure quality.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field of study.
• Three (3) years of experience with technical knowledge of photometry, flux transfer, lighting techniques for Lambertian versus Specular reflectance, luminance, and illuminance; drawing documentation with technical software packages (REVIT, AutoCAD), analysis software (AGI or 3D Studio Max), and rendering/graphic software (Adobe Creative Suite); assessing products available in the market, feasibility of modifications, and project needs, and guiding custom product development; Sketch-Up; and, IES standards and recommendations.

The salary is $115,000.00 - $125,000.00 annually.
