Summary:
The Human Resource Coordinator aids with and facilitates the human resource processes. This position assists with HR processes including but not limited to, onboarding, offboarding, benefits, compliance tracking, wellness initiatives, employee relations, etc. This role provides administrative support to the human resource function as needed.
  • This position is Non-Exempt.
  • This position reports to the Assistant Vice President of Human Resources.
  • The starting salary for this position is $45,000-$47,000 depending on experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide general HR support to include general administrative tasks to support organizational sustainability
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes
  • Assist with compliance tracking of new employees
  • Assist with timely and accurate entries into the HRIS system for all new hires, transfers, promotions, changes, and terminations
  • Assist with internal audits of systems, processes, etc.
  • Assists with the performance review process.
  • Answer and direct telephone calls
  • Perform a wide variety of routine and complex document and records management duties
  • Maintain, review, and verify routine or specialized reports and records
  • Prepare requisitions and perform other general support accounting duties for the office
  • Monitor and direct incoming mail; prepare outgoing mail for pickup
  • Assist with travel arrangements, purchase requisitions, etc.
  • Evaluate current departmental needs and provide support where needed
  • Organize and facilitate workflow to ensure a productive workplace
  • Maintain records and databases for departmental needs
  • Assist with maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations
  • Maintain security and confidentiality of Burrell College information
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
  • Education: Associate's degree in a related field
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of related human resource experience.

  • This job is conducted in an office work environment.
  • Approximately 90% of this position's duties require the use of a computer.
  • Must be able to exert up to 20-40 lbs. of force occasionally.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal.
Work Schedule:
  • Typically, Monday through Friday, 8 am-5 pm
  • May occasionally require evenings and weekends.
