Burrow Global is in search of a seasoned Project Engineer/Professional Engineer (P.E.) for a two year assignment. Candidates must have a background in designing, building and maintaining process units involving cryogenic systems in the petrochemical sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing projects to ensure smooth progress across various essential activities.

This role will be based in St. James, LA, with frequent travel required to engineering and vendor locations. 

Per Diem is available on this position for those living more than 60 miles from the worksite.

Key Responsibilities:

- Managing and assisting in the technical resolution of design issues identified on the issues list, such as Steam Header Pressure Control/Stability and methods to protect VJ piping.

- Supporting the resolution of risks listed in the risk register, with approximately 33 individual risks currently documented, including 12 high-priority risks that need mitigation.

- Facilitating communication with stakeholders to drive progress in risk resolution and escalating any challenges to project management.

- Adding new risks to the register as they are identified.

- Ensuring positive advancement in the development of commissioning plans, including identifying training gaps for site personnel in cryogenic facilities and devising plans to address them.

- Supporting early design engineering activities and maintaining purchase requisitions and PO revisions.

- Assisting in the Phase 3 TIC estimate and preliminary PHA/hazard assessment.

- Managing processes for RFI and change management.

- Providing technical support during on-site construction and detailed engineering efforts at the Engineering Contractors office.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in chemical or mechanical engineering with at least 10 years of experience as a project engineer/project manager in the petrochemical industry.

- Proven track record in managing engineering design, construction, and maintenance of cryogenic process units in the petrochemical field.

- Proficiency in MS Project or Primavera, holding a Professional Engineer license in Louisiana, possessing an active TWIC Card.

- Ability to work on-site in a chemical process facility and travel to engineering and manufacturing vendor sites as required.

- Advanced experience with the FEL/Stage gate process.

- PMP Certification.
