We are currently seeking an Equipment Operator II at our West Valley / Fontana Material Recovery Facility.

Equipment Operator II for 2nd shift

The Equipment Operator operates a combination of any of the following equipment relating to the recovery of material : forklift, baler, bobcat, sortline.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES :

• Operate a combination of any of the following equipment :
• Forklift for movement of recycled materials
• Sortline panel controls (may provide guidance to sorters)
• Baler to prepare material for shipment
• Bobcat to load baler in feed belt
• Inspect equipment daily and report unsafe conditions
• Sstop operation of any malfunctioning equipment
• Follow safe work practices and adhere to safety rules.
• Perform minor servicing and maintenance of equipment
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor

KNOWLEGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES :

• Good judgment skills and ability to recognize equipment problems.
• Ability to communicate in English.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE :

3 years of previous forklift experience and familiarity with the operation of various powered equipment, required

PHYSICAL :

• Must have ability to operate forklift, loader, baler, bobcat and sortline equipment.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

WORKING CONDITIONS :

• Will be exposed to moderate noise and dust levels.
