The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is responsible for identifying and creating new qualified sales opportunities for the account executives. This role manages outbound and inbound sales leads, converts them into prospects, and schedules meetings for the account executives to close the deal. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, goal-oriented, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Qualification: Contact and qualify leads from marketing campaigns and other sources to create a pipeline of potential customers.
- Prospecting: Conduct research to identify potential prospects and gather relevant information for outbound campaigns.
- Outreach: Use various channels (email, phone, social media) to engage with potential customers, initiate conversations, and introduce our solutions.
- Meeting Scheduling: Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) customers and account executives.
- CRM Management: Maintain and update CRM system with all lead interactions, ensuring accurate and timely data entry.
- Follow-Up: Conduct timely follow-up with prospects to maintain engagement and move them through the sales funnel.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing and sales teams to ensure alignment on target prospects and messaging.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in sales, customer service, or related fields.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to understand customer needs and effectively communicate solutions.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and results-driven attitude.
- Proficiency with CRM software (ideally Salesforce) and other sales tools.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Additional Details
- SDRs will be required to be in the office 3 days per week
- Our Chicago office is currently located in downtown Evanston, IL
- SDRs will initially report directly to the CEO.
