Position Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in accounting principles and practices, possess excellent communication skills, and demonstrate a strong ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

· Maintain and oversee the bookkeeping for various small business, not-for-profit, and religious institution clients:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of all financial transactions
  • Handle month-end and year-end closing procedures
  • Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and budgets on a regular basis
  • Assist with tax preparation and coordinate with external auditors as needed
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to management for decision-making purposes

· Positive dialogue with clients as necessary to complete projects

· Ensure proper accounting policies and procedures are followed

· Review and recommend modifications to clients’ accounting systems and procedures

· Complete ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned

Skills/Qualifications

· A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

· Must have 5 years of bookkeeping experience; proven experience as a full charge bookkeeper or similar role.

· Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Bookkeeper, Certified Public Accountant) are a plus

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as, problem-solving and analytical skills

· Strong working knowledge of GAAP and experience with compiling financial statements

· Ability to multi-task and prioritize a fast-paced environment

· Strong attention to detail and accuracy

· Strong work ethics including confidentiality, professionalism, and reliability

Benefits

Salary $65k. Paid time off, health and dental insurance

  • On-site, in one office; Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm
