Founded in 2008, Butter Beans provides nutritious, wholesome meals for charter schools, private schools, and summer camps throughout the New York City and tri-state area. Butter Beans operates corporate cafeterias and offers catering services at notable institutions, the New York Hall of Science Museum.
We are looking for a versatile and well-organized individual to serve as our Retail Cafe and Catering Manager, specifically overseeing the kitchen and cafe operations at the NYSCI museum combined with catering service for all Butter Beans’ customers.
Work schedule: This management position requires 45 to 50 hours per week over 5 days each week with some weekend work requirements as part of this schedule.

Catering Manager Responsibilities:
COMPUTER SKILLS: Good computer skills required. Must be proficient with the use of the internet and be able to utilize computerized business tools such as email, learning management systems, and memo software. Must be proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other appropriate software. POS system application and execution experience required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This position will require long periods of standing on hard surfaces, occasionally in warm temperatures. There is also likely to be extensive lifting of supplies and materials and moderate to loud noise. The use of hands and arms to reach for, grasp and manipulate objects is required. Finger dexterity may be required for cash register use. There will be constant exposure to hot equipment and oil throughout the work day.
Salary: $50,000-$65,000
