Job Description:We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, analysis, and resolution of electrical engineering problems, with a focus on manufacturing feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and operational efficiency. You will work on moderately complex electrical equipment, conduct technical evaluations, and provide support to manufacturing and assembly teams.
Responsibilities:
- Perform Electrical design, technical analysis and/or resolution of engineering problems with consideration of manufacturing feasibility, cost, and operation.
- Design/alteration of complex electrical equipment.
- Test and debug complex equipment to isolate defects.
- Prepare layouts using CAD tools.
- Evaluation of complex designs; make engineering changes.
- Evaluate new parts.
- Prepare schematics, assemblies, detailed drawings and bills of material (BOM) for complex equipment.
- Support manufacturing/assembly teams.
- Manage and maintain project file.
- May travel to customer site and support field teams with technical assistance.
- May assist with leading, mentoring or coaching less experienced team members.
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree (Electrical Engineering or a related technical field), or foreign degree equivalent; and 3 years of experience in electrical engineering.
- Must also have the following skills and knowledge: ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics and mechanical assembly layouts; comprehensive knowledge of CAD and engineering systems; and comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing methods, electrical design and project management.
- Requires domestic travel up to 10% of work schedule.
