BWI Companies, Inc. is Hiring an Outside Sales Representative - Southeast Florida Near Apopka, FL

We are looking for an Outside Sales Representative to provide top-notch service and quality products to our core customers that include independent garden centers, farm and feed stores, horticulture and agronomy, landscape and turf professionals, and pest control operators. BWI offers a wide-range of products to eight different market segments making the sales opportunities endless! This is a full-time remote position who will be responsible to cover Southeast Florida from Fort Pierce to North Miami.

Essential Responsibilities Include:

  • Set challenging sales/earnings performance goals.
  • Address and anticipate needs that customers will have regarding products, pricing, availability, product uses, and credit terms.
  • Recommend products to customers, based on customers' needs.
  • Set and achieve challenging sales and margin goals to achieve/exceed budget, develop the market, and build market share.
  • Contact regular and prospective customers to demonstrate vendor products, explain features, and solicit orders.
  • Estimate or quote prices, communicate credit terms, explain vendor product warranties, and communicate delivery dates.
  • Provide customers with vendor product samples and catalogs.
  • Identify prospective customers by using business directories, following leads from existing clients, participating in organizations and clubs, and attending trade shows and conferences.
  • Monitor and evaluate market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales.
  • Perform administrative duties, such as preparing sales budgets and reports, keeping sales records, and filing reports.
  • Meet frequently with manager on progress towards achievement of goals and key performance indicators (sales effectiveness process - SEP)
  • Communicate with manufacturers on product pricing and availability.
  • Participate as an active team member in division sales meetings.
  • Work remotely from a dedicated home office with minimal distractions.
  • Perform all other duties as directed, in support of the overall success of the division and company.
  • Agriculture and / or horticulture experience is preferred but not required and If you have at least two years of sales experience, that’s a plus!

The candidate will be paid based on their work experience and skills, with the minimum starting salary for this position being $75,000.00. The successful candidate will transition from salary to full commission in the future which dramatically increases the earning potential of this role.
