Location: Brighton, MI 48116Workplace Model: In Office at Technical Center BrightonRequired Travel: 20% - pre-scheduled based on testing in domestic and foreign sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Retrofit vehicles with advanced prototype Braking and Suspension Systems
- Instrument vehicles for testing
- Build wiring harnesses and test boxes
- Perform general repairs and maintenance on test and fleet vehicles
- Must be able to travel 2-4 weeks a year to support offsite testing both domestic and foreign destinations.
- State of Michigan Mechanic Certification
- Graduate of an Automotive Technical Program
- Strong electrical and troubleshooting skills
- Minimum of 3 years field experience
- ASE Mechanic Certification
- Experience in the following:
- Fabrication and Welding
- Controlled Braking, Advanced Suspension and Stability Control Systems
- Equipment Calibration and Repair
- Vehicle Testing
- Hybrid and Full Electric Vehicle Technology
- Microsoft Office Suite
- United Healthcare (Medical/Dental/Vision)
