Overview

Seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with a desire to work on innovative advanced approaches and technologies and to develop new products and programs to solve problems within critical infrastructure markets and industrial environments. In this role you will provide hands-on support to critical problems in Agile Software Engineering. In addition, you will have an opportunity to work in many domains with a wide variety of challenging work in software engineering and information technology applications, prototypes and systems.

You will be working in a dynamic and ever-changing environment with an experienced team of individuals that is focused on developing products and services that solve ICS security problems.

Responsibilities

• Craft comprehensive solutions as a full stack developer involving frontend and backend applications and services
• Evaluate critical systems, identifying process improvements, act as a DevSecOps Change Agent, and leverage DevSecOps practices for program and product improvement
• Formulate & deliver actionable recommendations to apply Agile practices for real time improvement
• Work as an individual contributor and/or be part of a team developing and delivering both prototype and production software
• Build, administer and manage processes that introduce DevSecOps concepts of testing, prototyping, security, automation, etc.
• Treat all challenges as opportunities to learn, excel and deliver state of the art solutions to solve nation’s problems
• Apply expertise in IT infrastructure and cloud computing to automate and facilitate the integration, delivery, and deployment of deliverables
• Execute on individual tasking which contributes to the success of larger systems in an environment that encourages autonomy
• Effectively communicate ideas, findings, and progress – both verbal and written - to internal stakeholders, government sponsors, and trusted partners

Required Experience/Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelors degree and a minimum of 5 years of related experience; or an advanced degree with relevant experience who can immediately contribute at this job step; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
• Experience in Agile software development (e.g., Scrum, Kanban)
• Development experience in one or more languages (e.g., Java, JavaScript, Python, Ruby, C#)
• Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, workflows, and associated tools, such as GitLab, Bamboo, SonarQube, etc.
• Experience with scripting and automation tools, including batch scripts, PowerShell, Chef, Ansible, Puppet, Terraform or other similar tools
• Experience with application containers, runtimes, and automation (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
• Basic knowledge of Networking (DNS, DHCP, Firewalls, CIDR Notation, etc.)
• Familiarity with system, virtual machine, and container vulnerability scanning and remediation
• Experience developing with Azure cloud platform
• Experience with virtualization and hypervisors (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, VirtualBox)
• Experience with software development on both Windows and Linux platforms
• Experience with delivering infrastructure through industry best practice of Configuration Management Frameworks (CMF) and Infrastructure-as-Code
• Thorough understanding of architecting and automating cloud native technologies; provisioning IaC, IaaS, or SaaS; and deploying applications
• Strong written and verbal communications skills
• Ability to work with a project team to ensure timely deliverable completion
• Ability to adapt to technical change, to include a willingness to learn new technologies, processes, and tools
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously as necessary
• Proven ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision

Special Requirements/Security Clearance

Travel to corporate HQ, tradeshows, vendor, and customer locations as needed.

• Must be able to pass a background check, drug, and alcohol screening.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record for the past 3 years.
• No employer sponsorship of U.S. residency or work authorization with this role.
