The Sr. Director Finance & Accounting will report to the CFO and will serve as a strategic partner to the business in a rapid growth, dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will be a highly trained accountant who enjoys delving into the details of financial data, systems, and processes, who demonstrates the ability to lead projects and people, and who communicates well both verbally and in writing with staff throughout the organization.

Near term opportunities include partnering in the continued expansion of our multistate network of clinics, engaging in the review and redesign of accounting and business processes, participating in systems initiatives, and helping drive mergers and acquisitions within a relatively new field of medical services.
Salary Range: $120k-$130k (based on experience)
Location: Schaumburg office preferred but not required.

- Manage the Accounting process to ensure appropriate recording of transactions and estimates under US GAAP.
- Manage the month-end close process to ensure timely and well-articulated results through accurate financial statements and appropriate supporting variance analysis.
- Drive continuous improvements in all aspects of accounting, finance, budgeting, analysis, and reporting.
- Maintain and enhance controls to ensure the integrity of the financial statements, company assets, accounting systems, and compliance with all applicable federal, state, local, and internal policies, procedures, and culture.
- Responsible for maintaining and improving a collaborative and cross-functional team environment.
- Develop and implement finance and accounting strategies to support organizational goals.
- Prepare quarterly board packages, leadership team, and company monthly summaries.
- Manage and create relationships with external finance, accounting specialists and banks, as applicable
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- A Master’s degree in accounting, finance or an MBA is preferred.
- CPA preferred.
- 10-15 years of progressive related experience with a strong foundation in core accounting transaction close, analysis, and reporting.
- Advanced knowledge and strong modeling experience of Microsoft Excel is required.
- Process and detail-oriented approach to completing tasks and issue resolution.
- A commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills; verbally and in writing; experience in effectively communicating key data in a user-friendly and concise manner to individuals with varying levels of financial acumen, including presentations to senior management, the Board members, or other outside partners and key stakeholders.
- Strong integrity demonstrated through all decisions, communications, and actions.
- Proven ability to lead in a team environment of diverse individuals.
- Capacity to adapt and show flexibility through daily activities as new and unexpected circumstances develop
