Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Service Manager is accountable for supervising and directing the service staff members to cost effectively recondition newly acquired vehicles for subsequent sales and perform policy and Extended Service Contract repairs in a cost effective manner that enhances customer service and Byrider's reputation. The Service Manager is responsible for the Service Departments overall key performance metrics and hire/train to our performance mgt. process. Will be responsible for proper management of expense related issues that will affect the monthly financial statements and profitability of the dept./dealership.

• Safely and efficiently, manage the flow of all vehicles within the Service Department which includes recon work, policy and warranty.

• Coordinate the preparation and transfer of all repossessions and trade's.

• Maintain positive customer relations through developing and monitoring the Service Staff's customer service skills, personal skills and effective resolution of complaints. Communicate technical aspects of all repair jobs to company customers.

• Personnel Management including selection, training, counseling and development of each staff member. Establish and maintain a positive and comfortable working environment within the Service Department. Conduct Performance reviews and salary administration.

• Create a climate of security and integrity to control parts and supply inventory shrinkage. Control inventory through auditing of paperwork, reconciliation of bills and monitoring receiving and weekly inventory spot-check counts.

• Enforce safety standards and policies to help reduce Worker's Compensation and Garage Liability claims.

• Maintain facility to comply with Company and OSHA standards. This would include building, equipment, parking lot, grounds and any other issue that would not create a safety hazard.

• Participate in required company meetings.

• Work effectively with the Asset Management Team to ensure proper vehicle inventory is maintained at the store. Periodically drive lot ready vehicles and complete a quality inspection checklist and report discrepancies back to the General Managers.

• Participate in any vendor training programs and maintain a friendly working relationship with all vendors.

• Perform any other reasonable duties assigned by the General Manager or Chief Operating Officer.

• Keep abreast of the latest technological advances in the automotive repair industry and progress towards ASE certifications.

• Establish and maintain a smooth and effective working relationship with all corporate departments, which would include the division of Asset Management

CANDIDATES FOR THIS POSITION MUST BE ABLE TO:

• Handle prolonged standing and walking
