Required Skills/Knowledge:

• Overseeing the work activities of janitorial staff, assigning duties and inspecting their work to ensure quality standards are met.
• Creating staff schedules, training new employees in cleaning methods and procedures and conducting performance reviews.
• Ordering and replenishing cleaning supplies/equipment and the first aid kits/safety cabinets.
• Acting as a liaison between janitorial staff and management, effectively communicating any issues or needs that arise.
• Preparing reports on staff performance and operational efficiency and addressing any complaints or maintenance issues.

Additional Skills/Knowledge:

• The ability to lead and motivate a team, ensuring that all staff members are performing their duties effectively.
• A strong understanding of various cleaning methods, equipment and safety protocols.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with staff and management.
• The ability to plan, schedule and coordinate cleaning operations efficiently.
• Previous Supervisory experience in a similar role, preferred.

Essential Functions: Able to; stand, twist, bend, squat, stoop, kneel, climb ladders and stairs and lift on a continuous basis for an 8-hour workday.
