Plastic Injection Machine Maintenance Technician

A Maintenance Technician troubleshoots malfunctions of manufacturing equipment and performs preventive maintenance and mechanical repairs on plastic injection machinery.

• Perform mechanical/electrical maintenance repairs on Injection Molding Machines. 240V-480V, single & 3 phase systems. Knowledge of AC/DC drives.
• Must be able to read and understand electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics and drawings.
• Diagnose and repair all machinery related to manufacturing including but not limited to: injection molding machines, auxiliary equipment, robots, and fabrication and assembly machines.
• Assemble, install or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery and equipment.
• Ability to install and repair electrical apparatus such as transformers/robots.
• Understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic principals.
• Perform and/or assist with weekly/monthly/annual preventative maintenance tasks.
• Perform and/or assist with weekly/monthly/annual inspections.
• Understands and applies Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedure and follows safety procedures.
• Maintains a neat and organized work area.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Must be able to stand for long periods of time and have dexterity as necessary to perform the job.
• Must be detailed oriented and have the ability to prioritize work.
• Must be available to work overtime as needed.
• Must be able to work in a fast paced non climate controlled environment
• Must be flexible on work schedule

• Able to work on own with limited supervision
