C. Richardson Counseling and Consulting provides counseling, coaching, and consulting services to help you achieve the success, stability, and peace that at times seems difficult to obtain. The ideal candidate will hold the credentials of Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) or Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor- Associate (LCMHC-A), licensed by the State of North Carolina. This position will begin as part time employment and build up to full-time (32 hours per week) employment.

The selected candidate will be responsible for managing a case load of up to 32 active cases. The individual will be instrumental in encouraging clients to actively participate in the counseling program by providing, them with individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, as it relates to a work-related stressor or a disability.

Requirements:

• Skilled (or trainable) in therapeutic support involving both emerging adults to adults ages 16 and up with work (school) related stressors or emerging adults to adults ages 16 and up with disabilities.

• Comfortable with assessing and diagnosing mental health conditions and disorders.
• Maintains up-to-date documentation and record-keeping as required by agency documentation guidelines.
• Excellent written and oral communication
• Comfortable in determining client's psychiatric diagnosis based on diagnostic criteria from DSM 5
• Proficient with technology and other electronic applications, i.e., Microsoft products and apple products
• Familiar with using ICD-10 codes for clinical diagnoses.
• Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) Certification is a plus

Qualifications/ must possess the following:

• Must possess a master’s degree in counseling or related field

• Be licensed in North Carolina as an LCMHC, LCMHC-A, LCSW or LCSW-A licensed in North Carolina will be considered.
• Must have experience or an interest in working with adolescents, and adults with work related stressors or disabilities.
