We are accepting resumes for summer internships to work with the Construction Safety Department. You will work out of our I-494 Bloomington office. 

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• Junior or Senior within a 4-year degree program or in a master's program.
• Interest and knowledge of the heavy highway construction industry.
• Desire to gain hands-on experience in the office and/or field by shadowing with knowledgeable professionals.
• Excellent verbal/written communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage time and handle multiple tasks at once.
• Demonstrated ability to use software programs including MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Flexible schedule for students.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on occasion.
• Knowledge of and compliance with all Company safety requirements, policies, and any required safety training.
• Be a positive, pro-active Safety presence and assist in Field Safety Operations each and every day. 
• Assist and document Safety inspections and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) on Project sites at frequent intervals.
• Attend and assist with Project Safety meetings including but not limited to:
  • Weekly Tool Box Talks
  • Daily Take 5 for Safety
  • Job site Safety committees
  • Pre-activity meetings
• Assist in maintaining an adequate inventory of PPE to meet project requirements.
