OVERVIEW:
C Speed, LLC is a fast-growing technology company that provides domestic and international aerospace and defense, and commercial customers with radar surveillance solutions. We also perform engineering on behalf of other companies, serving industries including medical devices, radar systems, digital inspection, test & measurement, internet of things (IoT), digital video, professional and consumer audio, and digital image processing. We are an ISO 9001 registered company that must adhere to various regulatory requirements and Standards as a DoD contractor.
We are seeking an Information Technology (IT) Manager who is a well-organized, hard-working, and highly motivated individual willing to roll up their sleeves to perform this dynamic, hands-on position; responsible for a wide array of activities (e.g., analyzing current systems and assets, recommending and implementing solutions and upgrades, and providing training as necessary).
POSITION SUMMARY AND OBJECTIVES OF ROLE:
The IT Manager will collaborate with company leaders to carry out the support and maintenance of existing network, server, and software applications and the development of new technical solutions for our 3 Business Units and Operations team. This position will be based in Liverpool, NY, or Titusville, FL; reporting to the Director of Operations, having an immediate impact on the day-to-day efficiency of our operations and long-term impact on our overall growth, and will have multi-site responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of network requirements, security related to both confidential and controlled unclassified information (CUI) requirements, and cybersecurity best practices. The IT Manager will manage and maintain essential IT infrastructure, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, software, and hardware.
- Partnering with Operations, Business Unit Leaders, and Program Managers to develop and execute IT strategy, identifying appropriate use of technology that improves the performance of the business
- Ensuring network components work together seamlessly to meet business needs, using their full range of capabilities, and stay informed about new features and available solutions
- Establishing and implementing “best practice” Cybersecurity policies and procedures in compliance with NIST/CMMC requirements
- Understanding and applying security measures in an environment that must contain sensitive information (both confidential and CUI)
- Collaborating with our IT Business Partner and other vendors, identifying areas of overlap where C Speed can perform work currently provided by partners/vendors
- Taking responsibility for projects and solutions within the larger business initiative(s)
- Handling business-critical IT tasks and systems administration
- Proactively engaging with the organization to ensure full alignment from an IT tools, processes, and security perspective
- Researching and evaluating emerging technologies, hardware, and software
- Establishing an internal Help Desk process for supporting C Speed staff, in conjunction with external process in place with our IT Partner
- Tracking and maintaining hardware and software inventory
- Monitoring internal and external policy compliance, verifying that both our vendors and employees understand cybersecurity risk management policies and that they operate within that framework.
- Managing voice, video, and data connections for our locations and remote personnel – making sure the company is always connected
RESPONSIBILITIES
The main responsibilities of the IT Manager will be to manage and maintain all computer systems within C Speed, ensuring that the IT infrastructure runs smoothly; monitoring effectiveness and efficiency, and verifying security measures are effective against any vulnerabilities in software programs used on a day-to-day basis, throughout every C Speed business unit and department.
- Analyzing organizational, business unit, and infrastructure needs, identifying vulnerabilities, and boosting productivity, efficiency, and accuracy that inform business decisions
- Analyzing processes, technologies, and vendors continually to find areas for improvement
- Preparing cost–benefit analyses for necessary upgrades, monitoring service partners and vendors to ensure they’re offering the best-possible service and value for business needs
- Training employees to use software and hardware; troubleshooting issues, and providing technical support when needed
- Developing/executing disaster planning and maintenance of data backups
- Ensuring full IT compliance from both an application and infrastructure perspective (end point device through data centers), meeting all internal and external security/regulatory requirements (e.g., NIST-800-171/CMMC, DFARS, Cyber Essentials)
- Coordinating design and implementation of appropriate IT systems, policies, and procedures
- Ensuring security of data, network access and backup systems; and associated regulatory compliance requirements
- Developing security policies, procedures, and guidelines based on industry best practices
- Identifying cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies to keep the organization secure
- Conducting risk assessments to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities
- Monitoring network activity to identify signs of intrusion or compromise
- Managing/monitoring individual user accounts
- Developing and documenting IT-related security procedures for the organization
- Collaborating with security teams to respond to unwanted intrusions
- Developing and managing annual budget and ensure cost effectiveness
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- 3 years of relevant and progressive experience, preferably with a business that accomplishes engineering / product development. Previous IT experience in a multi-site, regulated, and complex manufacturing environment (made to order)
- Self-motivated and driven desire to succeed with minimal direction
- Deep knowledge of operating systems, current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, and systems performance monitoring
- Expertise in implementing, configuring, and testing IT solutions
- Experience in network infrastructure architectures, implementations, and on-going support
- Strong creative and analytical thinking
- Experience in server management
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal form
- Plan, organize, control and evaluate IT and electronic data operations and security
- Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions
- Ability to audit systems and assess their intended/actual outcomes
- Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain
Preferred
- Understanding of full life cycle ERP and implementations
- Familiarity with HRIS systems
- Familiarity with GCC-high/other implications on e-mail, SharePoint
- Prior federal government contractor experience
- Experience with the following:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Network/Cybersecurity, or related field required
- 3 years of relevant and progressive experience Appropriate Certifications and Organization membership. C Speed encourages continued professional development

- Competitive projected salary range: $80,000-$110,000 based on experience and capabilities
