C&Y Global Inc. specializes in scrap metal recycling. We are licensed international importer, with self-owned processing yards in China and Thailand. Our business is steadily expanding, with offices in Houston, Dallas, Chicago, Atlanta, Oakland, Cleveland, and Oklahoma. We are looking for high potential candidates who can grow with us.

Position: Safety Manager

Annual Salary: $100,000 - $120,000 / Annually- DOE

Responsibilities and Duties

· Audits facilities for safety compliance; follows up to correct deficiencies

· Ensures all permits/licenses are up to date in each facility

· Assists each facility on permit/licenses application and renewals

· Works with management to investigate accidents and incidents

· Prepares and presents monthly/annual training, and other monthly safety meeting topics

· Develop, revise, and implement site-specific safety policies and safe work procedures

· Approves safety supplies and personal protective equipment for use

· Enforces safety rules and helps develop good employee safety attitudes during yard visits

· Ensures all documentation and record-keeping is properly filled out, including accident logs, investigation reports, permits and licenses applications and renewals.

· Recommends company safety policy changes to corporate staff

· Serves as first contact for OSHA or other safety regulators

Qualifications and Skills

· Minimum 4 years work experience in a Safety/Supervisory role

· Ability to travel throughout the assigned location (10 locations in the country)

· Bachelor of Science degree – Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or closely related field

· Ability to communicate verbally and/or through written communication with all levels of personnel within the Company and with Federal, State and local safety regulators

· Ability to organize daily tasks and to work in a self-directed environment with minimal supervision

· Ability to form strong team relationships with managers and supervisors

· Experience using personal computers in a work environment for spreadsheet and document presentation

· Experience in scrap metal industry preferred
