C4 Technical Services is Hiring a Network Engineer III Near Arlington, VA
Location: Remote, **REMOTE Role but MUST be in the DC vicinity to be able to come into the Herndon, VA office once/week if required.**Duration: 12 Months to 18 monthsEssential Job Duties:Government project working (DOD) Department of Defense contract (Navy based). Transition large project with Verizon. Identify equipment that varies per vendor use in (Japan, Guam, Australia, Hawaii, Singapore, Tokyo). Helping with tracking statuses, testing vendor parameters. Both admin and technical tasks, filling out technical aspects of government paperwork. Collecting technical information from across the team.
Analyzes local and wide area network systems, including planning, designing, evaluating, selecting operating systems and protocol suites and configuring communication media.
- Developing circuit solutions (point to point circuits), site deployments, telecommunications understanding networks
- top 3-5 skills / technologies and qualifications required? Telecom technology (different types of networking). Telco equipment (routers and switches) and working with people
- Resolves interoperability problems to obtain operations across all platforms.
- Develops network solutions to maximize and reroute traffic and perform root cause analysis through appropriate commands, specifications and scripts.
- Configures systems to user environments.
- May lead cross functional teams or provide tier III support.
- Supports acquisition of standard hardware and software as well as subcontractor services as needed.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and relevant experience.
- 5 years of experience.
- REMOTE Role but MUST be in the DC vicinity to be able to come into the Herndon, VA office once/week if required.**
- Must be able to work Honolulu, Hawaii Time Zone (HST) and needs to be flexible.
- Normal work hours 9AM-5PM HST (may vary)**
