ROUTE DRIVER

The Route Driver requires a Class A CDL license and will participate in our warehouse / logistics operations and activities.

The Route Driver’s responsibilities include operating trucks and / or tractor trailers on intrastate and interstate routes delivering and unloading various products in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with Department of Transportation regulations.

The Route Drive must deliver and unload products to customers on time, and damage-free, while maintaining positive customer relations.

Deliveries will be made in the Northern California area with an average of 10-15 deliveries per day.

Responsibilities

Transport and unload products to customers

Operate vehicles and perform pre-trip inspections

Comply with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations while operating vehicle

Operate manual and electric pallet jacks, hand trucks to move products

Operate lift gates as necessary

Develops and maintain outstanding working relationships with external and internal customers

Plans and carries out daily route to ensure that all deliveries are made timely

Communicates issues to supervisor and / or customer service in a timely manner

Drives safely and follows all safety procedures

Follow quality service standards and comply with all procedures, rules and regulations.

Desired skills and experience

5 years previous driving experience with Class B trucks and Class A tractor trailers, required

Ability to work Monday Friday between the hours of 4 : 00am and 3 : 00pm (8 hour shifts)

Excellent DMV driving record (no more than 2 points)

Maintain class A CDL license as required

Ability to pass Defensive Driving course as per company policy

Ability to lift 75 to 80 pounds

Exceptional customer service skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Physical Requirements

Ability to walk up to two hours per day without exertion

Ability to enter and exit equipment by stepping up and kneeling

Crouch and squat for pre and post-trip vehicle inspections

Ability to consistently lift 75 to 80 pounds without assistance
