The Senior Carrier Sales Engineer partners with the sales team in the development and closing of sales opportunities. Serves as technical subject matter expert for the sales team on Cable One product and service offerings. Assists in all components of the sales cycle from discovery to close. Designs solutions that achieve business and financial goals as well as meet or exceed customers’ business and functional requirements. Evaluates product performance, customer needs and customer satisfaction, providing feedback to the product team to ensure continuous improvement and enhancement of the company's product portfolio. Conducts live and remote demonstrations and makes presentations to prospective customers clearly articulating the Cable One value proposition. Trains sales representatives on product functionality and new product offerings. What you will do to contribute to the company's success Set forth below is a list of the essential duties and responsibilities (or "essential functions") of this position. Provides the full range of Sales Engineering services to an assigned base of large / complex customers. Maintains a working knowledge of the industry and competitors. Acts as a valuable resource to customers and the Sales team. Works with customers to perform implementation reviews and ensure the prompt and proper resolution of technical or procedural challenges. Advises customers on product integration, with other Cable One products and with similar / alternative competitor products. Handles issues escalated from Sales Engineering colleagues, resolving on own or seeking advice / support from higher level team members. Provides systems support, onsite or remote, for industry events. Supports Sales by providing solution design, implementation and support for current and new customers. Contributes to the development of improved Sales Engineering metrics, reporting and documentation. Other duties and/or responsibilities not specifically set forth above may, however, be assigned as needed. Qualifications Associate’s degree (A.A.) or Bachelors Degree (B.S) from four-year college or university; and seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. CCNA preferred MEF-CECP preferred Experience with Salesforce and Sitetracker preferred Demonstrates highly developed knowledge, understanding and application of the skills inherit in this role. Able to assist, consult, coach, teach or lead others in the application of the skill. Can apply knowledge outside the scope of one’s position. Achievement of this proficiency level requires significant experience and expertise. Up to 20% travel required for this role.
