Boka Restaurant Group and Top Chef/Iron Chef winner, Stephanie Izard, are currently seeking Seasonal Food Runners to join the team of Cabra, located on the top floor of The Hoxton LA!

ABOUT CABRA LOS ANGELES: Cabra, which translates to “goat” in Spanish, draws inspiration from Stephanie Izard’s travels throughout Peru in Lima, Arequipa, and Cusco where she captured some of the vast flavors and culture from her experiences abroad. A bright restaurant sitting atop LA’s buzzing Broadway, Cabra celebrates a vibrant dining experience featuring panoramic views and an airy, lively atmosphere making for a true getaway. 
FOOD RUNNER RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Deliver food and beverage orders from the kitchen and bar to guest tables rapidly and accurately.
  • Assist the service team with table setting by ensuring appropriate tableware, utensils and napkins.
  • Communicate warmly with guests and take additional orders as needed. Remove dirty dishes and utensils when necessary.
  • Ensure that the table is set and ready when dropping dishes.
  • Ensure that table number and seta numbers are correct and were communicated appropriately.
  • Describe dish or beverage as it is dropped, and answer guest questions about ingredients
  • Communicate effectively with the rest of the service team regarding guest feedback or requests throughout their dining experience
  • Set up, restock and prepare for the shift as necessary
  • Obtain and maintain complete knowledge of all menu items and beverages
  • Assist with keeping expeditor area clean at all times and free from unnecessary items
  • Complete daily opening and closing sidework assigned by management.

 
QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Open availability on Saturdays & Sundays a must!
  • polished, professional, warm and hospitable
  • 1-2 years experience in a high-volume restaurant

This is an ideal position for someone who is dedicated to providing great service and is seeking to become a member of a hard-working and fun team! 
This seasonal position will end no later than October 31st, but may end sooner based on business levels. Should a year-round position become available, either part-time or full-time, seasonal staff and other current employees will be given first access to apply for that role.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Lift and move up to 10 pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Safely and effectively use all necessary tools, equipment, and cleaning chemicals
  • Stand and walk for an entire shift, including moving safely through all areas of the restaurant which may include stairs, uneven, and/or slick surfaces
  • Ability to bear exposure to hot and cold environments
