The Opportunity:

The Program Finance Analyst will support the all program financials, including review of cost, funding, labor charging and all aspects of forecasting and internal reporting requirements. The PFAs will operate as the liaison between the PM and accounting organization for all finance and accounting issues.

This position is located in Annapolis Junction and will require you to be onsite in a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities:

Financial Planning and Analysis:

  • You will be an integral part in supporting program managers through financial planning and analysis.
  • Assist in collaborative efforts with other functional support personnel (contracts, subcontracts, HR, etc.) to ensure comprehensive program support.
  • Review and setup of contract awards or modifications for proper financial alignment.
  • Updating of Estimates at Completion (EACs) for Fixed Price and Award Fee contracts, ensuring accurate forecasting and financial tracking.

Strategic Financial Activities:

  • Collaborate with the Manager and other PFAs to create annual operating plans, long range plans, and support forecasting updates.
  • Support monthly rolling forecast reviews and perform analysis to identify potential financial risks and opportunities.

Operational Support and Compliance:

  • Ensure the team is equipped to handle all customer and vendor requests in compliance with contract requirements and provide accurate reporting on customer funding utilization.
  • Oversee team to ensure customer invoices are billed correctly and timely, and manage the posting of all month-end accruals.

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 3 years of related work experience to include 3 years of program control OR financial management supporting a federal government contractor.
  • Intermediate MS Excel skills to work with large data sets to perform analysis and monthly manual spreadsheet report in support of monthly invoice
  • Ability to work with multiple support functions (contracts, procurement, accounting, engineering)
  • Good foundation of accounting principles to include cost collection, revenue recognition, invoicing, and unbilled reconciliation.
  • Proven experience in financial management and team leadership within a program-driven environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to work effectively across various functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI Poly Clearance

Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Deltek Costpoint, SmartView, COGNOS
  • Experience in a matrixed organization
  • Corporate accounting experience Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) experience
  • Experience generating Annual Operating Plans (AOPs)
  • TS/SCI Clearance

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$71,500 - $150,200
