Cactus Wellhead, LLC - Job Board is Hiring a Financial Reporting Manager Near Houston, TX

JOB SUMMARY: Key position within the company’s finance and accounting organization, providing ongoing financial reporting support.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Practice safe work habits and comply with all quality, safety, health and environmental policies, procedures, programs and regulations
  • GENERAL LEDGER/MONTHLY CLOSE – Assisting with preparing and coordinating the month-end, quarter-end and year-end financial closing
  • FINANCIAL REPORTING AND CONSOLIDATIONS – Perform monthly, quarterly and annual consolidations of multiple business segments, including regulatory reporting as applicable.
  • FINANCIAL STATEMENT PREPERATION – Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, including but not limited to: Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Statement of Comprehensive Income, Equity Statement and Cash Flow Statement.
  • OTHER FINANCIAL PRESENTATION - Responsible for calculation of equity shift related to the non-controlling interest. Prepares earnings per share and weighted average shares outstanding calculations on a quarterly basis. Maintains schedule for long-term incentive program, including expense recognition in accordance with ASC 718.
  • PUBLIC COMPANY COMPLIANCE REPORTING – Coordinating the external reporting requirements with the Securities and Exchange Commission
  • MANAGEMENT & BOARD REPORTING – Assist with preparing monthly management packages and Board reports
  • ACCOUNTING RESEARCH - Researching accounting issues for compliance with US generally accepted accounting principles
  • INTERNAL CONTROLS – Documenting, implementing and maintaining reporting procedures to comply with internal control requirements
  • AUDIT LIAISON - Coordinate the annual audits and quarterly reviews with the external auditors, preparing PBC audit work papers and acting as a liaison between the auditors and Company personnel
  • POLICIES & PROCEDURES - Ensure key policies and procedures are documented and/or followed to satisfy internal controls and audit requirements
  • PROCESS IMPROVEMENT - Identify areas in need of improvement in financial accounting applications and operational procedures and effectively communicate these value-added solutions both orally and in writing to senior department personnel
  • SYSTEMS IMPROVEMENT (CONTINUOUS) - Ensure responsible accounting systems and processes for fiscal closings and reporting are continually streamlined via process improvement to achieve greater efficiencies and accuracy in the level, and timeliness of reporting (continuous improvements)
  • MANAGERIAL & SUPERVISORY – Supervising Senior Accountant, while working closely with the Corporate Controller ensuring proper financial reporting

EDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited four-year college or university
  • 5 years experience in Accounting and Financial Reporting, including relevant SEC reporting experience.
  • Experience in the energy industry, including oilfield services
  • Experience in a multi-location manufacturing environment and international accounting/reporting.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: CPA or equivalent preferred

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

  • In-depth knowledge and use of GAAP; Auditing Practices and Principles; and Financial and Accounting Software Applications
  • Prior experience with public company SEC filing/compliance requirements
  • Understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley rules and regulations
  • Experience with consolidation software preferred (Hyperion or OneStream)
  • Experience with Workiva and XBRL
  • Specialized (Advanced) Computer Skills: Intermediate MS Office proficiency, especially Excel (including charts, pivot/lookup tables)
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to travel

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for managing personnel within the team function.

  • Normally work in an office environment; however, occasionally may visit branch assembly areas and field service machine shop.
  • Occasionally may be exposed to hazards such as loud noise, heavy equipment, temperature extremes, chemicals, etc. while working in Engineering laboratory, assembly areas and field service machine shop.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
