CAD Control Systems, a leader in the development, design, and manufacturing of BOP Control Systems, is seeking a skilled, motivated, and dependable Electrical Programmer to join our team at our manufacturing facility in Broussard, LA. This individual must be proficient with a vast array of programming languages, concepts and technologies; device drivers, compiler and language design, user interfaces, databases, client/server, telecommunications, debugging, reporting and optimization.

Essential Duties:

• Researches and analyzes data such as customer design proposal, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application.
• Designs products or systems in regards to the electrical/computer components of such.
• Corrects errors by making appropriate changes and then rechecking the program to ensure that the desired results are produced.
• Conducts FAT, as needed, by running programs and software applications to be sure they will produce the desired information and that the instructions are correct.
• Compiles and writes software/program user manuals, technical specifications, and subsequent revisions.
• Performs or direct revisions, repair or expansion of existing programs to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements.
• Oversees the assembling of complete data documentation and books for each project.
• Supports engineering and production personnel in fabrication of test control apparatus and equipment, and development of methods and procedures for testing products or systems.
• Designs human/machine interface (HMI) and graphical user interface (GUI) software and/or programs.
• Evaluates and performs field installations.
• Any other duties assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science from an accredited university required.
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a programmer in the oil and gas industry preferred.
