Summary

This position plans, organizes, and controls Army aviation simulator training program life cycles to optimize profit and meet marketing, financial, and corporate growth objectives by performing the following duties. This position requires the PM to be located within 50 NM of Daleville, AL.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing programs. Manage day-to-day progress of program through constant interaction with site manager and immediate staff, teams of engineers, technicians, manufacturers, Prime customer representatives and training support personnel.
  • Lead, mentor, and evaluateprogram staff at Army aviation simulator training location in Daleville, AL.
  • Develop and controldeadlines, budgets and program schedule and activities. Including direct involvement in all modification/engineering activities associated with the program.
  • Apply change, risk and resource management to complex program using various tools
  • Develop and execute customer contact plan with all key customers including Prime Contractor, Ft Rucker US Army customers, and program and local site government oversight personnel.
  • Coordinate with CAE USA SYSTEMS PM to ensure performance in accordance with overall financial plan for program.
  • Responsible for ensuring site complies with Union Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA) and participate in any grievance or arbitration activities as well as any CBA renegotiations.
  • Daily collaborate with a wide variety of functional areas such as engineering, marketing, manufacturing, logistics, CYBERSECURITY, and operations to meet cost, schedule, and performance goals
  • Participate in overall program management discipline evolution within the organization
  • Act as capture team leader for CAE USA SOLUTIONS to produce FAR- and DFAR-compliant proposals
  • Analyze and resolve simple and moderately complex problems using project management tools
  • Provide technical expertise and training to other CAE USA departments in support of program
  • Prepare, conduct, and run medium to large technical and management meetings with internal and external customers
  • Proactively provide leadership continual feedback on key program metrics and contract activities using existing tools and feedback mechanisms.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field. Graduate level coursework is desired.
  • Experience with US Army customer and aviation training desired. Preferred experience in managing aviation training squadrons or oversight of government contracts on a large training system.
  • Minimum of three (3) years managing military or commercial program(s) with budgets in the range of $26 - $50M annually.
  • Strong knowledge of flight simulator and training services market and experience in managing the development of training solutions.
  • Excellent Knowledge of performance evaluation and changemanagement principles
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office; working knowledge of program/project management software is a strong advantage
  • Outstanding leadership and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving ability
  • Able to reason, plan, direct, and evaluate situations to make appropriate recommendations and take actions beneficial to the program and the company as a whole.
  • Able to demonstrate leadership ability with complex reasoning and problem solving abilities.
  • Ability to effectively present information to customer representatives, top CAE USA management, and public groups.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience managing the development of proposals.
  • Possess complex financial managerial skills to include budgetary and proposal activities. A basic knowledge of accounting is desired.

Security Responsibilities

Must complywith all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.

  • Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.
