The most important thing we build is TRUSTOverviewThe Senior Manager of Supplier Quality Engineering reports to the Sr. Director of Quality Assurance and partners with Supply Chain to provide a vital link between CAES and our supply partners. This role selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function; assures development and management of our suppliers regarding the quality of materials, components and assemblies; assures that we audit and develop our suppliers and applicable processes needed to maintain our certifications and status with customers and government agencies including implementing corrective actions and efficiency improvements.

ResponsibilitiesROLES & RESPONSABILITIES:
  • Manage Quality engagement for Supplier selection and development to clearly define and execute the purchasing quality requirements via supplier quality plans with compliance to technical, quality, capacity and customer requirements. Performs risk management, safety, and reliability of the supply chain with closed loop feedback.
  • Manage supplier requirements, escapes, and applicable metrics and drive holistic root cause and corrective action (RCCA) to reduce nonconformances, material shortages and receiving inspection costs. Resolve technical, manufacturing, and quality issues with the supply base.
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions as needed.
  • Manage Supplier Scorecards and applicable Supplier Quality Initiatives with department functional leadership.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain to resolve supplier nonconformance issues reducing their impact to production.
  • Identify and implement productivity/process improvements including software solutions to support business requirements and future growth.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to enhance processes and reduce defects.
  • Help suppliers implement best practices and industry standards.
  • Plan, assign, coordinate and review the work of Supplier Quality Assurance Engineers Adhere to established company policies and procedures or other guidelines as they relate to assigned area.
  • Collaborate with Corrective Action Board as the Voice of Supplier Quality & the Supply Chain
  • Proactively assess risks related to supplier quality and develop risk mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor external factors (e.g., geopolitical, economic) that may impact suppliers’ performance.
  • Provides guidance and direction to subordinates based on organizational goals and program needs. Evaluates performance and facilitates growth in individuals as well as teams.
  • Supervise, coordinate and perform a variety of administrative work for his/her team.
  • Monitor supplier certifications for validity and applicability to contractual requirements.
  • Participate in safety training and actively comply with safety policies and practices.
QualificationsMINIMUM:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality or related technical field, or the combination of education and
  • Six (6) years working as a Lead or managing Quality Teams as a People Leader
  • Six (6) years AS9100D experience or industry equivalent
  • Six (6) years of quality audit experience
  • Travel is required for this position at least 50% of the time
  • This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a "US Person" under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license).
  • This position may require the ability to obtain a security clearance
Preferred
  • Experience in Aerospace & Defense Industry
  • Experience in IPC-610, MIL-STD-883, MIL-PRF-38534, J-STD-001
  • Non-conformance resolution (MRB), Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) experience.
  • ASQ Certification in Management, Engineering, Auditing, etc.
  • Experience in fabrication, microwave systems, antennas or positioning systems
  • Demonstrate effective communications skills such as active listening; communicate across organizational levels; ability to communicate with quality, integrity and respect in a way that inspires others and encourages innovation and possibilities.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and assignments; ability to maintain confidentiality; work with the vast array of information gathered during elicitation and analysis and to cope with rapidly changing information.
Salary Range: $142,195 - $175,652 (United States) annually. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as business results.
