Hourly base pay rate is $21.06 - $31.63/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Job Description

* Candidates should reside in the Phoenix market. The role offers remote work flexibility with the expectation of being in the office 1-2 times a week. Please note that remote work arrangements are subject to change.

The Data Analyst role involves deep analysis of complex datasets to derive meaningful insights, requiring advanced Excel skills and critical thinking abilities.

Develops and provides data assessment, management and reporting solutions to support peers and partners in the analysis and resolution of business questions. Works internally and cross departments on roadmap construction and reporting. Supports organizational efforts to solve problems and inform decision-making through innovation, collaboration, and technical expertise.

  • Gains familiarity with Data Analysis concepts, practices and methodologies.
  • Learns accepted company and industry Data Analysis methodologies, processes and practices.
  • With guidance, performs specific analytical and related duties, including:
    • Analyzing business data, assessing trends and identifying and explaining variance from goals,
    • Maintaining databases, cleansing and validating data,
    • Developing and tracking key performance metrics against the company’s business objectives,
    • Producing standard and periodic reports with minimal variance,
    • Ensuring timely and accurate delivery of reports,
    • Developing analyses and publishing well- developed and accessible interfaces.
  • Provide business insights to carrier behaviors, market trends, industry news and how they impact the carrier strategy
  • Proactively look for opportunities to drive additional savings outside of pre-determined sourcing areas
  • Establish a cadence of communication and touch points with the team to ensure carrier expectations and performance metrics are clear and aligned across all team members
  • Demonstrate business expertise and analytical skills required for managing their key performance indicators, goals and objectives, and profitability goals
  • Assists with special projects as assigned

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of the auto transport industry, carrier types, truck types and capabilities
  • Strong organizational skills and demonstrated capacity to develop and implement practical strategies, plans, and solutions to identified issues and problems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle high pressure situations and tight deadlines
  • Good judgment, discretion, tact and the ability to work easily at all levels within the organization
  • Ability to partner well with colleagues in a matrixed work environment.
  • Ability to work independently and to undertake responsibilities with minimal guidance
  • Adapting approach and comfortable with ambiguity.
  • Passion for and understanding of the automotive industry and ecosystem

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 2 years of experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as High School Diploma and 4 years of experience.
  • Demonstrated track record of assessing, developing, and empowering talent
  • Strong organizational skills and demonstrated capacity to develop and implement practical strategies, plans, and solutions to identified issues and problems.
  • Track record of taking initiative in managing multiple priorities and to work effectively under pressure when facing extremely short deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good judgment, discretion, tact and the ability to work easily at all levels within the organization
  • Ability to partner well with colleagues in a matrixed work environment.
  • Ability to work independently and to undertake responsibilities with minimal guidance.
  • Adapting approach and comfortable with ambiguity.
  • Must be adept at handling complexity of situations and businesses.
  • Personal qualities and style requirements include possessing high energy, enthusiasm, resilience, determination, proactiveness, relentlessness and being highly driven.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and other business applications

Drug Testing

To be employed in this role, you’ll need to clear a pre-employment drug test. Cox Automotive does not currently administer a pre-employment drug test for marijuana for this position. Benefits

Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, parental leave, and COVID-19 vaccination leave.
