Director of Operations- Texas

Summary

The position will specifically lead the collection operations function. . This individual will work closely with the Vice President of Operations- Consumer Collections to facilitate the efficient and profitable operation of the company. The Director of Operation- Collections will also function in a variety of strategic roles and manage certain vendor and key client relationships. The Director is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and effective integration with other departments such a Client Relations, Sales, Accounting, Support, IT, HR, Compliance and Legal and act as a liaison between departments as necessary.

Essential Duties

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Work with Vice President of Operations, the COO and ET team as well as other departments in an effective manner
  • Drive change by partnering with leadership team including all direct reports.
  • Support performance measurement and management systems
  • Support strategic planning of overall organization
  • Provide day-to-day leadership and management to a service organization that mirrors the adopted mission and core values of the company. Bottom line: Build a beautiful company.
  • Drive the company to achieve profitability, cash flow and business goals and objectives.
  • Responsible for the measurement and effectiveness of all processes internal and external. Provides timely, accurate and complete reports on the operating condition of the company.
  • Spearhead the development, communication and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes.
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate the rapid growth objectives of our organization.
  • Motivate and lead a high performance management team; attract, recruit and retain required members of the executive team not currently in place; provide mentoring as a cornerstone to the management career development program.
  • Assist, as required, in raising additional capital at appropriate valuations to enable the Company to meet growth and market share objectives.
  • Foster a success-oriented, accountable environment within the company.
  • Represent the company with clients, investors, and business partners.

Environment/Physical Activity

The environment for this position is an office environment, mostly clean and comfortable. It may include some minor annoyances such as noise. The incumbent is in a non-confined office area in which he or she is free to move about at will.

In the course of performing this job, the incumbent typically spends time as follows:

  • Walking - Occasional. Walking is minimal in the performance of duties. Worker may walk 3 - 5 feet around work area completing different functions pertaining to the reports and delivery of applicable forms.
  • Sitting Constant. Worker will spend the majority of the workday sitting at his/her work area working with the companys computer and software systems.
  • Lifting Minimal. Worker will lift less than 5 lbs. throughout the day. Occasional transfer of files to storage might exceed 5 lbs in lifting.
  • Reaching Minimal. Worker may reach to secure forms and documents throughout the day.
  • Fingering - Constant. Worker is required to use finger activities when using the companys computer system.
  • Feeling - Constant. Worker feels and touches the computer keyboard and calculator while working.
  • Vision - Constant. Worker is constantly required to use accurate visual acuity in the performance of duties.

Mental Demands

The incumbent in this position must be able to accommodate to the following demands:

  • Constant distractions and interruptions.
  • Uncontrollable changes in priorities and work schedules.
  • Time pressures and tight deadlines.
  • Long periods of highly detailed and precise work activity.

 

Position Requirements

Education and Experience

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Strong track record of academic and professional excellence and achievement
  • 20 years of Collections/ Call Center industry experience
  • Outstanding analytical and quantitative capabilities required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office required
  • 15 years experience in management
  • Advanced organizational leadership skills
  • Excellent written, oral and client-facing communication skills
  • Budget-focused mindset
