Finance Coordinator
Work Location: Anaheim, CA
Term: Full-time, occasional evening and weekends required
Position Status: Non-Exempt
Pay Range: $25 - $33/hour commensurate with skills and experience
Reports to : Operations Manager

About the Role: The Finance Coordinator is responsible for a wide range of duties including, accounts payable, cash processing, financial reports and upkeep of financial ledgers through QuickBooks. They will maintain and ensure compliance with standard accounting principles and reporting requirements and be comfortable working in a fast-paced and changing landscape of priorities and responsibilities and be able to work independently.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • General bookkeeping and accounting tasks including maintaining related documentation
  • Manage day-to-day finances in QuickBooks including analyzing and reconciling general ledger accounts and investment transactions, and managing interoffice invoicing
  • Prepare bank reconciliations and other balance sheet analysis to ensure accuracy of balances
  • Oversee payables, receivables, liabilities, bank account reconciliations, cash flow projections, and journal entries
  • Prepare deposits, checks and invoices.
  • Download and enter sales receipts/invoices from various donation platforms.
  • Enter bank and credit card transactions (categorize expenses)
  • Download and enter Investment accounts
  • Download & reconcile bank and credit card accounts
  • Review accounts payable & accounts receivable
  • Pay invoices via bill pay as needed
  • Collect grant agreements and enter them into QB and monitor expenses
  • Enter pledges (Ramadan and Gala)
  • Monthly/Quarterly analysis of accounts
  • Coordinate, process and serve as liaison with vendors, collecting receipts, reviewing business expenses and reimbursements as needed including collecting W-9's
  • Filing of all paper invoices and receipts and uploaded to online tracking system
  • Prepare financial reports for local Governance Board and executive staff
  • Prepare monthly financial statements, and reports
  • Prepare auditor requests as requested by CAIR-CA
  • Coordinate year-end finances for budgeting and reporting
  • Perform special projects and other duties as required and requested
  • Support other general duties such as answering phones, weekly outreach, fundraising, and other office tasks as required
  • Occasional evening and weekend hours as well as local travel required.
  • Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 3 years of general accounting experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field (preferred)
  • Nonprofit work experience (preferred)
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks and the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Professional integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive data
  • Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, ability to multi-task, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently, be flexible, and work well under pressure in a fast-paced team environment
