Position Overview

We are seeking an intermediate level Accounts Receivable Clerk to support our administration team. This employee will report directly to the Assistant Controller, take daily direction from the Senior Accounts Receivable Specialist, as well as provide support to personnel in other departments and branch locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Creating customer accounts in our business system and accurately maintaining confidential customer information.
• Filing of customer documentation and management of customer printed files.
• Processing various forms of payment and recording entries on customer accounts.
• Interfacing with customers directly on payment discrepancies and assisting with solutions.
• Monitoring customer accounts and debriefing the Assistant Controller on aging reports.
• Back-up to the Receptionist with directing incoming calls on the main company phone line.
• Assisting the Senior Accounts Receivable Specialist with additional duties and projects as requested.

Qualifications:

• Associates Degree in Accounting (or related field), or 3 years direct experience in an Accounts Receivable position.
• Proficient in navigating the Windows operating system and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, SharePoint, Word, and Excel).
• Ability to learn additional proprietary software programs, along with adapting to frequent software updates and changes.
• Meticulous with details, ability to organize and prioritize workload, and able to follow processes and procedures.
• Driven to provide excellent customer service and professionalism within the organization and externally to our diverse customer base.
• Independent and self-sufficient, with the ability of being productive in a group environment.
• Expectation of being a team player that interacts positively and constructively with all levels of employees.
• Excellent written and oral communication, including ability to prepare documents and correspondence with the proper use of the English language, grammar, spelling, and punctuation.

NOTE: If a job offer is made, it will be contingent on the candidate's successful completion of a background and DMV check, physical exam, and drug screen (which includes marijuana).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
