Our client, a leading Fortune 500® payments technology company, is seeking a resourceful Senior DevOps Engineer who has a passion for problem solving and critical thinking. This is a full time permanent role!

Summary:
As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be a key member of our fast-paced Application Development team, leading the design, implementation, and optimization of our DevOps processes, infrastructure, and deployment orchestration. This hybrid role requires 2 days on-site per week in Alpharetta, GA. You will specialize in specific areas such as CI/CD processes or platforms like Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud, and collaborate closely with software development, QA, and IT teams to automate and streamline our software delivery pipeline.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead the design and implementation of DevOps practices and principles across the organization.
2. Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automating the build, test, and deployment of applications.
3. Build and deploy software releases and patches.
4. Actively troubleshoot any issues that arise during testing, catching and solving issues before launch.
5. Automate operational processes with accuracy and compliance with our security requirements.
6. Establish DevOps Engineer team best practices.
7. Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
8. Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure on the GCP platform.
9. Design and implement monitoring and logging solutions to ensure system stability and performance.
10. Collaborate with development teams to integrate automated testing into the CI/CD pipeline.
11. Implement and manage containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
12. Lead efforts to improve security practices and implement security controls across environments.
13. Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance and best practices.
14. Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies in DevOps and cloud computing.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
2. 6 years of experience with RHEL Linux and networking.
3. 3 years of experience in DevOps, software development, or related roles.
4. Strong experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Git, and CI/CD.
5. Expertise in automation scripting using Groovy, Python, Bash, etc.
6. In-depth knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker, Rancher, and container orchestration with Kubernetes.
7. Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
8. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
9. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
10. Ability to work on-site 2 days a week in Alpharetta, GA.
Benefits:
* Hybrid role with 2 days on-site in Alpharetta, GA, and 3 days remote.
* Typical schedule: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM.

Preferred Qualifications:
* Docker Certified Associate (DCA), Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Cloud DevOps Engineer Professional, or related certifications are a plus.
* Solid understanding of networking concepts and security best practices.
* Proficient with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
* 6 years of relevant experience in SME IT roles.
