Position Summary

The Vice President of Operations (VP of Operations) will be a key member of the executive team, responsible for overseeing the daily planning and manufacturing operations of Anderson UnderBridge. This role demands a strategic leader with a strong background in operations management, who can drive efficiency, improve processes, and lead a team toward achieving the company's goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Leadership: Provide strategic direction and oversight of all operational activities to ensure efficient and effective execution of projects.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the operations budget, ensuring cost-effective operations and adherence to financial objectives.
  • Project Oversight: Oversee project management, ensuring timely and on-budget completion of projects while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
  • Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance and drive accountability.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with safety regulations and industry standards, promoting a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Vendor Relations: Manage relationships with vendors and subcontractors, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Customer Focus: Maintain strong relationships with the Sales organization to assist clients, understanding their needs and ensuring exceptional service delivery.
  • Innovation: Drive innovation within the operations function, leveraging new technologies and methodologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the executive team on strategic planning, contributing to the overall direction and growth of the company.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, engineering, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in operations management, preferably within the engineering or construction industries, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • In depth experience with advanced ERP/MRP systems.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in project management software and operational tools.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong financial acumen and budget management experience.
  • Certifications: Relevant industry certifications (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma) are a plus.
  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of industry standards, safety regulations, and best practices.
