Position 1: 7:30 AM - 9:00 AM (M-F); 7.5 hr/wk
Position 2: 6:00 AM - 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM (M-F) 6 hr/day; 30 hr/wk
Projected Position 3: 2:00 PM - 5;00 PM (M-F) 3 hr/day; 15 hr/wk
WAGE:
13.92/hr
ACCOUNTABILITY:
Bus Aides will be primarily responsible to the Transportation Director.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of a high school diploma or its equivalent
- Basic understanding and operation of adaptive equipment
- Bloodborne Pathogens training
- Capable of lifting and moving objects in excess of 60 lbs
- Demonstrate a caring, patient attitude towards students
- Ability to react calmly in emergency situations

- Assist bus driver in maintaining and controlling student behavior / discipline on bus
- Maintain working knowledge of all terms on student data forms
- Maintain individual behavior logs as directed by the Director of Transportation
- Prepare and submit Bus Conduct Reports as necessary
- Inform parents and Director of Transportation of any unusual incidents or circumstances
- Discharge students only at authorized stops
- Administer first aid as necessary
- Serve as primary provider as established in the school district's Bloodborne Pathogen policy and procedures
- Remain informed with established transportation department emergency procedures
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Transportation
