CALIC Group is seeking an assertive, resourceful, and knowledgeable Construction Project Manager to join our expanding team in Central Florida. This candidate should be a self-starting, proactive person, who has the experience to dig-in and take complete ownership of project success. We are 30-person multi-discipline firm of contractors, construction managers, superintendents, architects, and support staff with offices in Orlando and Edgewater, FL. We specialize in commercial, food & beverage, hospitality, and themed entertainment projects, and have earned a reputation of excellence, professionalism, and quality. Our team members exemplify professionalism, resourcefulness, and passion while maintaining family-oriented culture where team members are respected for their work ethic and expertise.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain project scopes, schedules, and budgets.
  • Draft subcontractor and vendor scopes of work and obtain bids.
  • Create and manage construction schedules with Superintendents.
  • Develop and maintain relationships and communication with co-workers, clients, design professionals, subcontractors, suppliers, building inspectors, and other project stakeholders while motivating project team members to achieve project goals.
  • Submit, obtain, and manage permits.
  • Prepare and present reports on project status, including budget, timeline, and risk assessment. Communicate project progress to senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and ensure that projects are completed within budget and on time.
  • Ensure that projects are completed to the highest quality standards and in compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

Required Skills:

  • Top-notch organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Advanced computer skills.
  • Highly attentive and responsive to customer requests and communication.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications, Education, & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management or similar degree path.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related field and/or construction project management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Construction Project Manager running a variety of commercial construction projects, ranging from retail renovations to new restaurants and office buildings, with a track record of successfully delivering project on time and within budget.
