The toddler educator will create an inviting, loving, developmentally appropriate learning environment that will foster student growth and nurture student skills. They will foster a growth mindset and maintain effective communication with co educators, children and families. Toddler Teacher Responsibilities, but not limited to: * Foster the belief that toddlers are strong and capable * Create weekly lesson plans while actively engaging in weekly Professional Learning Community meetings. * Complete trainings & foster the desire to be a lifelong learner * Provide hand-on learning experiences * Be patient with toileting processes and meeting the child where they are at while partnering with parents * Encourage and model positive social interactions * Create a positive learning environment indoors & outdoors * Adapt classroom routines & schedules based on the child's needs * Use effective Communication skills with families * Respectfully collaborate & problem solve with other educators & co-workers * Maintain accurate, complete and correct records including daily diaper and nap logs * Must be able to physically exert up to 15 lbs. Required: * 12 Units in Early Childhood required by the state of California or teaching certificate/degree in Early Childhood * 3 Units Infant/Toddler * Experience in an early childhood classroom Requirements / Qualifications Required: * CPR & First Aid * Department of Justice Fingerprinting * Immunization Records * School Transcripts

Christ Lutheran Church and School is a licensed and accredited preschool with two campuses; Costa Mesa Preschool through 8th grade & Huntington Beach Preschool. Our Costa Mesa school has been in existence for more than 65 years and our Huntington Beach location opened for students and educators in March 2024. This position will start will a new class of students. It will give the educator to build relationships and build on their learning environments. The toddler yard is connected to the outdoor classroom making it an ideal flow in and out of the classroom. This allows for flexibility in scheduling the day and meeting the needs of the child. It is extremely important that we find a great fit for this exceptional program. We are looking for an educator who has a deep understanding of toddler development, a love for nature and Jesus! It is our mission to partner with parents to educate the whole child spiritually, academically, emotionally and physically in a Christ-centered environment.
