For over 75 years, CMCBrands has been producing men's and women’s outerwear, casualwear, and uniforms under the Canyon Guide Outfitters, DKOTA, and Stillwater Supply Co. labels, as well as many private brands. Our company is conveniently located in the Westport area in St. Louis and operates a distribution center in central Missouri.

We are currently seeking a senior level professional to manage all accounting related functions within the organization. This position will work proactively with the company’s President, applying fundamental accounting principles and maintaining best practices. This is a great opportunity for someone who communicates well, can build cross-departmental relationships, and champions change! Experience in the Apparel Industry is preferred.

Responsibilities: Prepares all financial statements, ensuring timeliness and accuracy of financial reporting in accordance with GAAP

Coordinates federal, state and local tax filings with external accounting firm and third-party payroll processor

Provides analytics for variances and trends in financial statements

Cash flow forecasting

Inventory valuation, analysis, and standard costing

Coordinates and prepares for annual audits and reviews from various entities

Develops, recommends, and institutes appropriate accounting controls to ensure integrity in reporting of financial results

Maintains working relationships with financial institutions

Oversees payroll processing through third party payroll processor

Performs A/P, A/R, and bank reconciliation as needed

Qualifications: Degree in Accounting required

Experience in Cost Accounting, including five years as Controller

Experience working for a closely held, medium sized business

Sales and Distribution Industry is preferred

Proficient in Microsoft D365 or similar

Working knowledge of corporate tax laws/practices

Payroll processing and related tax filings

Solid management experience, as this position has a direct report

Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (intermediate or advanced)

Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

Exemplary leadership skills

Pay: $100,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
