Tradesman II
Tradesman II - Safely perform tasks of a general nature within the marine and general industries as directed by supervisory and senior personnel.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Follow all CMC Safety and Environmental procedures and instructions on the job site, at the facility, while driving or riding in CMC vehicle and report injuries and safety/environmental issues to the supervisor. Each worker must be awake, alert and attentive at all times during the shift.
2. Maintain a safe and clean job site as much as is practical daily as directed by the supervisor.
3. Follow directions and perform daily assigned duties .
4. Be able to perform tasks of a general nature such as but not limited to, general cleaning including hand scraping; be able to utilize a variety of hand, power and / or pneumatic tools; lifting, transporting and installation of hoses, pumps and similar type equipment and tools; load and unload equipment, tools, and supplies to and from a vehicle and to and from a vessel.
5. Perform other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS - To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
· Comprehends, speaks and writes English
· EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE - No prior experience or training is required.
· LANGUAGE SKILLS - Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Bi-lingual preferred (75%) .
· MATH SKILLS - Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money, weight, volume, and distance.
· REASONING ABILITY - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out both written and verbal instructions.
· OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES - Ability to multi-task, communicate effectively, and be detail oriented.
· PHYSICAL DEMANDS - The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move 50-100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
· WORKING ENVIRONMENT - The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee must regularly work in wet or humid conditions, near moving mechanical parts, high and precarious places, with fumes and airborne particles and outdoor weather conditions. The employee must occasionally work with toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold or extreme heat that is not weather related. The employee is responsible for taking actions to perform each task safely.
TRADESMAN I –
Additional:
· Possess the ABILITY to gain knowledge and experience under the supervision of Tradesman II, Lead Man, and Foreman in Tank Cleaning, Oil Flushing, Acid Cleaning, High Pressure Washing, and Hydro Blasting.
· Possess the ABILITY to properly oversee Laborer when so assigned by a Supervisor
· Perform assigned duties with little direct supervision
· Possess a valid driver’s license
TRADESMAN II – Meet the criteria for TRADESMAN I
Additional:
· Possess PROFICIENCY under the supervision of the Lead Man or Foreman in Tank Cleaning, Oil Flushing, Acid Cleaning, High Pressure Washing, Hydro Blasting, Oil Transfer and/or CHT
· Be certified as a PIC (includes being current HAZWOPER certified, BOWTS PIC trained, CMC PIC trained)
· Possess the ABILITY to accomplish “job set-up” under the supervision of the Lead Man or Foreman
· Possess the ABILITY to communicate basic English with supervisors and customers (when questioned)
· Possess the ABILITY to properly oversee Laborer and Tradesman I when so assigned by a Supervisor
· Perform assigned duties with little or no supervision

Pay: $20.50 - $23.25 per hour
